Oh the joy's of swinging.

If you are three, or have ever been three, than you know the joys of swinging. You can get a whole new perspective on life in a swing. Lucy likes to look at the world upside down and tell me what she can see. She is even practicing some acrobatics on the bar these days.

But most importantly.... the biggest accomplishment in her life... next to walking, talking and potty training.... is SWINGING ALL BY HERSELF!!!!!

You will want to pause the music in the right column so you can hear her sweet voice!

Allana's 4th Grade Field Trip

The fourth graders at Stuard went to the Deer Creek Ranch for some science fun. We learned about insects from an entomologist, about water and what's in it, and about the need to drink it! It was hot and we did a lot of walking, but it was very interesting.

An Ode to Dad

To Daddy, Dad, or Reagan as some of us call him.... (there are other names, but not the time or place).....

With Fathers Day just around the corner, I wanted to give Reagan his own special blog. Okay, really, a friend sent me one of those "You might be a Texan if..." and it reminded me of him!

You might be a Texan if...

You build models of the Alamo with your kids.

If you wear a cut off Hooters shirt, camouflage shorts and hunting boots to work in the yard.

If you would stand on this ladder and cut off a tree branch.... because it interferes with the Dish Network signal... during a race!

If you use your four wheeler to pull the branch down away from the house... and have your 10 year old daughter driving!

If you have to stop and play with your heelers during the whole ordeal.

If when it's all said and done (and the race is over) you go to the neighbors and play a little yard ball. Add a hat and some tennis shoes and your dressed for a party!

I love ya honey!

Mineral Wells State Park

Sunday afternoon was an adventurous outing. The Ragnes', Scott's and Comer's went to do some Rock Climbing. For those of you who know me.... that just doesn't sound like me does it?

Well, here I am climbing! And notice that I trusted Reagan to hold the other end of my rope.

Lucy and Kaleo had fun climbing with Mr. Brad while Allana and Nadine free climbed with the help of Mr. Juan.

We finished our day with a swim at the Scott's house and an excellent meal cooked by Juan.

What a wonderful day!

Mud!

Lucy and the puppies love to play in the mud. Allana got to clean them up! The are so much fun..... and so much work.

Mothers Day Weekend

We spent the weekend playing at home... we have dogs now, so we can't leave! The girls got adventurous with the warm weather on Saturday and found our blow up pool and slip-n-slide. Lots of fun!

Then on Sunday, I was served a gourmet breakfast before church. The kids played with the puppies and the neighbors all day. Nadine is so proud, she has been playing basketball with Daddy and has made several baskets! Yea Nadine!

Then we went to the Scott's house for Mothers Day dinner and fun! We played volleyball and had a wonderful cookout with 5 families. We are so blessed with great friends and neighbors! My girls were even brave enough to jump in the very cold swimming pool.

Volleyball continued into the night... nice serve Cindy!

Suzanne helped Lucy finish off the home made whip cream... by hand!

And finally, Indy and Scarlet had all the fun they could stand. They found Lucy's stroller and went to sleep. Aren't they sweet!

I had a wonderful Mothers Day. I am very, very blessed. I have a wonderful husband who loves me at my best and worst. I have gracious, loving, forgiving children who love me when I'm the best mom or the tired and grumpy mom. And now I have two sweet dogs who love me because I feed them, play with them and pick up after them. I have parents, sisters and family that I can lean on in times of need or laugh with in times of joy. I have friends that will laugh with me, cry with me, pray with me and pray for me! What more could a girl ask for?

Ecclesiastes 4:10:
10 If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

I am blessed with many who will pick me up when I fall down! My love to you all!

The Dentist

Nadine and Lucy went to the dentist this week. I had pulled one of Nadine's teeth already this week, but they said she still has 5 that are loose. She's going to be on the oatmeal and pudding diet soon!Lucy finally let them look in her mouth. She sat in my lap for the first ten minutes or so, but after Nadine got a tooth brush and a prize.... well, that was a different story!

Yes, she has a bed.

Nadine and I are not sure why, but the last two days we have found Lucy sleeping in the strangest places. First we found her on the stairs...

then on the floor in the laundry room! I guess she truly can nap anywhere.

Our newest addition...

So I finally did it. Yes, you've all heard me say "I don't want dogs, I have kids" or "I'm not scooping while I'm still changing diapers. Well, Lucy is diaper free. She has been for a few weeks now, but after 4 nights of sleeping in big girl panties it was official.

They can't say I don't keep my promises! Meet Indy (Indigo) and Scarlet. The newest members of the Ragnes Family.... yes, they are both GIRLS!

8 Months Later

Ok, I started to do this in September of 2007.... and here I am. I think I've felt the pressure from all my high tech girl friends who are blogging away and leaving me behind. So, I'm going to give this thing a shot.

I think I'll skip the past 8 months and start fresh!
